Summary:

Andrew Evstigneev had longed to organize his own business, but was held back due to his lack of business experience...

After graduating from Samara State Aerospace University, Andrew Evstigneev worked as researcher and developed a break-through technology: the production the rope vibration isolators to protect electronic equipment. The 27 year old had longed to organize his own business in producing these isolators but was held back due to his lack of business experience.

Later, Andrew enrolled as a trainee at the Samara HP-ORT MAP Centre and completed the courses: “Management of Innovative Business,” and “Accounting with ICT.”  With the assistance of MAP Centre trainers, Andrew successfully submitted a project proposal for a grant from the Samara Regional Program of Small Business Development. Needless to say, he was awarded the grant and used the cash to establish his enterprise in 2008.

Today, his enterprise (“Astron”) is thriving and produces a wide range of rope vibration isolators.  Way to go, Andrew!
